The Clever Fox
Introduction of the story:
This story is about fox and crow for students of class 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, class 9 and class 10. The clever fox is a short story with moral.
Once there lived a boy in a village. His name was Chaand and people used to call him Chandu. One day, some guests arrived at Chandu's home from the city. They gave a box to Chandu's mother.

Chandu's mother accepted the box of gift with a gesture of thanks and kept the box in the room. When Chandu saw the box he wondered about what was there inside the box. When Chandu's curiosity increased he got up from his place and went to another room. When he opened the box in excitement, he was very happy to see that the box was filled with cheese.

Chandu was really fond of cheese. But he thought that if his mother saw him eating cheese secretly she would be annoyed at him. So after thinking about it he picked up the box, went on the roof and started eating cheese over there. Nearby there was a crow sitting on a tree. When the crow saw a piece of cheese in Chandu's hand he felt hungry for cheese.

So after a while the crow flew and hurriedly snatched the piece of cheese from the hands of Chandu. Then he flew far away to some distant tree. It was a peaceful place. Suddenly a fox came there and when she saw crow with cheese her mouth filled with water. She wanted to eat that piece of cheese. When the crow was just about to eat the piece of cheese, the fox sitting under the tree spoke to him, "Mr. Crow, how handsome you are. I really admire your black colour. I wish I would be as black as you are and I wish I could look as beautiful as you. "

When the fox noticed that the crow liked being praised so she continued, “...and not only this Mr. Crow, I love your long beak as well and your voice is so melodious, I wish that today you would sing for me…” The crow was really flattered after listening to all the words of praises from the fox. As soon as he opened his beak to sing a song, the piece of cheese fell down. Before the piece of cheese could fall on the ground, the fox opened its mouth and swallowed it at once and then ran away. After losing the piece of cheese the foolish crow sat there in a state of shock and kept watching the fox running far away. So that is how the clever fox snatched the piece cheese from the foolish crow.
