 The Lion and The Mosquitoes

Once there lived a very lazy lion in a jungle. He spent most of his time sleeping and relaxing. One day he was roaming around in the jungle in search of food. On his way, he saw a tall shady tree which was surrounded by lush green, soft grass. The lion felt sleepy in such a peaceful environment.

Lion spent most of his time sleeping and relaxing. 

He yawned with his big mouth wide open and decided not to go for hunting. So he slept right under the tree. After a short while the lion felt deep asleep and started snoring loudly. Near the tree there was a little pond where a large number of dengue mosquitoes lived. While the lion was sleeping under the tree the dengue mosquitoes were also taking their nap and one of them got disturbed because of the lion's snoring. The dengue mosquito got very annoyed at being disturbed by the lion's loud snores so he went where the noise of the snores was coming from. When he saw the lion sleeping and snoring loudly, he went near his ears and started buzzing. The lion woke up because of the buzzing noise and also got very annoyed at being disturbed by a mosquito.

The lion looked at the dengue mosquito angrily and shouted.

The dengue mosquito looked at the lion and started making fun of him. On this, the lion looked at the dengue mosquito angrily and shouted at him, “You are a very ill-mannered mosquito I will punish you for this bad behaviour. After saying these words the lion attacked the dengue mosquito and tried to kill it but he could not catch the little mosquito rather the mosquito bit the lion on his tail. The lion became angrier so to further tease the lion the mosquito flew again and quickly bit the lion on his nose. The lion was now feeling very itchy and he started scratching his nose and his tail. The dengue mosquito was having fun by watching the lion rubbing and scratching his nose and tail on the ground. The dengue mosquito then quickly called the rest of his friends to see how he defeated the lion. So all the dengue mosquitoes came and started biting the lion.

The leader of the mosquitoes was caught in a web of a spider.

The lion felt pain in his whole body and when he saw so many mosquitoes so he ran away towards the river to save his life. After defeating the lion the dengue mosquitoes were flying back to their pond to celebrate their victory. Suddenly the leader of the mosquitoes flew in the wrong direction. He kept on flying with a proud feeling of defeating the lion until he came near a tree where he was caught in a web of a spider. The mosquito tried very hard to come out of the web but failed. Finally a big fat spider attacked the mosquito and ate it hungrily.

Moral lesson The Lion and The Dengue Story: 

"It is not good to annoy someone without any reason"
