 THE THIRSTY CROW STORY FOR KIDS

 A thirsty crow story for class 6

It was summertime and that day it was unusually hot. The ponds and streams had also dried. During the afternoon it seems as if it was shot down on earth from the sky. In this hot weather there was a crow who was sitting under the shade of a tree. He was thirsty so he started to look around for water but we could not find it. It's everywhere. 

The thirsty crow decided to fly:

The thirsty crow is flying in search of water.

So, the thirsty crow decided to fly away in search of water and he flew quietly for two to find water but still could not find it anywhere. Many orders passed by and the crow was still flying with thirst in the hot weather. He could no longer fly because he was badly tired and thirsty. While he was lying over a garden he saw a pot lying in the shade of a wall.

The thirsty crow is thinking how to drink water from the pot:

The crow is sitting on the pot.

He had to find some water in the pot, so he crawled close to the pot and sat on the top of the pot to drink the water. But as soon as he puts his beak into the pot, the crow sees that his beak has not reached the water. He was disappointed to see, that ​the water was too less in the pot and he could not possibly drink it. He was desperate to have this water as he could not find it anywhere else around. So he sat over there and started to think about how to drink the water from the pot. Suddenly the cross noticed some pebbles lying near the pot.

The crow picks the pebble and threw it into the pot:

The crow has pebble in his beak.

First the crow fly and picked one pebble and threw it into the pot and viewed in the pot. Surprisingly he felt that the water level had slightly come up. So, then the crow brought several pebbles and threw them into the pot and then he noticed that the water level had risen but was still his beak not reach the water to drink it.

Now the crow happily drank the water and flew away:

The thirsty crow is drinking the water.

However the crow never gave up and he kept bringing the pebbles to throw them in the pot. Gradually the water level reached the surface and the crow bring its efficiently and flew happily towards his destination.
