The Rabbit and The Eagle

| The leverets of rabbits playe the day long. |
The rabbits were living happily in a village with their children. The leverets of rabbits played the day long and the parents collected eatables for children from the nearby fields. In the evening the rabbits returned and fed their children. The time was passing happily.

| An Eagle came, snatched the kid rabbit with paws and flew away. |
One day, a rabbit saw that an eagle came, snatched the kid rabbit with paws and flew away. The rabbit said to eagle, "Leave my child.” The eagle replied, "If you have courage then take your child back.” At this the rabbit said, “Look don't be cruel." Eagle said, “I will not leave child rather I will enjoy its flesh today and will feed my children too." By saying this the eagle sat on a branch of a tree. The eagle's children also lived on that tree. The eagle ate the rabbit's flesh himself and also gave to his children. The rabbit was shocked at his child's death and he started thinking a plan to take revenge. After a little while he planned to take revenge. At night the rabbit reached under that tree with his companions on which the eagle lived with his kids.

| Rabbit and his kids started digging earth near the tree's roots. |
All of them started digging earth near the tree's roots. They remained digging all the night. In this way the roots had become hollow till morning. The rabbits and their kids had got tired by digging up whole night. Now they decided to go back home. They had gone a little far that wind started blowing. The tree's roots had become hollow so the tree could not stand firm before the wind and fell down on the ground. The eagle's kids were sleeping on the tree. They could not know about the falling of tree and died by pressing under the tree. The eagle saved himself by flying. When the eagle became conscious he saw his kids pressed under the tree. He became very unhappy. Suddenly the rabbit's hopeless face came before his eyes and the eagle understood that he had gotten punishment for his cruelty with the rabbit.
